Ana Valdes Lim is an acting coach, (Film, TV, Theater), theater director, author, and actress. Ana trained at the Julliard School in New York, and received her teaching diploma (K-12) for Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Ana worked as an actress with The Acting Company under John Houseman, The Public Theater in Romeo & Juliet, As You Like It, with Estelle Parsons & Joe Papp,   in Berkeley Rep in The Misanthrope with Irene Lewis, under Sharon Ott, in La Jolla Playhouse in The Skin of Our Teeth under Des MacNuff.  Ana has played a recurring role in As The World Turns and in John Carpernter's cult classic,  Prince of Darkness.  Ana has made numerous commercials.
She graduated from the Managing Arts Program at the Asian Institute of Management.  Ana was Artistic Director and Founder of Metta for 16 years, where she resided in Manila.
Ana founded Theater Space during the covid pandemic and directed on line performances of Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Servant of Two Masters, Crucible, and Hamlet.   This May 2022 Ana coached actors in Indonesia for a Netflix series. Ana is a private coach for actors and gives classes on line or face to face.  Ana continues to direct for Theater Space, an on line theater company run by volunteers.
Theater Intimacy
In 2022, Ana completed courses the Best Practices,  Staging Sex:  Intercourse, and Staging Sex:  Outercourse with TIE,  Theater Intimacy Education.

In 2022, Ana coached Netflix Original Gadis Kretek, (Indonesia) featuring  Dian Sastrowardoyo, Ario Bayu, Arya Saloka, and Putri Marino. Produced by Shanti Harmayn & Tanya Yuson.  Acclaimed directors: Kamila Andini and Ifa Isfansyah.
In 2023 NAGOYA PLAYERS, Japan
April 2023 Ana is acting with Nagoya Players, in Edward Albee's "American Dream" in the role of Grandma. Directed by Shawn Mahler.

 
She is married to Ricky Lim, a professor and author, and has two grown sons, Quintin and Lope.
